US Embassy in Nigeria stops Dropbox, explains new interview process
The U.S. Embassy on Tuesday declared the indefinite suspension of meeting waivers for restorations, also called the “Dropbox” process.
An announcement on its site noticed that DHL would never again acknowledge visa applications in Nigeria.
“The individuals who have just presented their international I.D.s through “Dropbox” to DHL for preparing either at the U.S. International haven in Abuja or the Consulate General in Lagos, won’t be affected by this change,” it read.
“All candidates in Nigeria looking for a nonimmigrant visa to the United States must apply on the web and will be required to show up face to face at the U.S. Government office in Abuja or U.S. Office General in Lagos to present their application for audit. Candidates must show up at the area they determined while applying for the visa restoration.
“Handling of discretionary and authority (A, G, and NATO class) visa applications will proceed with unaltered.”
The announcement included that Nigeria’s handling techniques are consistently looked into to evaluate our capacity to rapidly, effectively, and safely process visa applications.
“The U.S. Mission is making this move to give increasingly effective client administration and advance authentic travel, and will keep on encouraging utilization of set up voyagers as well as could be expected,” it finished up.
All applicants are now required to book an appointment for their interview.
